Software Application Development

Includes writing specification documents, prototyping, implementing and debugging applications on a PC or embedded operating system. We have also written mid-level software such as DLLs and drivers for voice, communication and video.

We have written applications such as:
  • a dating application for the web using HTML, PHP and Database
  • an Access database keeping track of hospital records, patient information and tests.
  • wrote specification and designed System Utilities for VxWorks embedded Communications device.
  • wrote 4 ATL COM components for e-commerce system.
  • created system software architecture for new PC product. Also implemented driver DLLs for some parts of the system.
  • wrote Windows application to edit Configuration files for LiveManager - management software for a new LAN Video Conferencing system.
  • wrote DLLs (Dynamic Link Libraries) and .EXE for User Interface for PictureTel's System 1000 Video Conferencing system.
  • coded, tested and documented a Multimedia Wave driver for an audio card. Documentation included a Functional Specification.
  • project leader for MS Windows 3.0 applications to support voice communications on a Pen-based PC. Work included writing proposal, functional spec and detailed design spec for the project.
  • wrote Voice Software Tools on PC.
  • designed, built and debugged a speech editor, waveform display and report generating tools needed for further development of TEXT-TO-SPEECH (TTS).

Database Design and Optimization

Includes designing, implementing and subsequently optimizing databases for PC such as MS Access and SQL Server. We also have experience with databases for Linux/Unix such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.

Our experience includes:
  • wrote various web sites using MySQL as the database for storing user information and passwords, system data, product data and other data used by the site.
  • a dating application for the web using HTML, PHP and PostgreSQL.
  • an Access database keeping track of hospital records, patient information and tests.
  • wrote Windows application to edit Configuration files for LiveManager - management software for a new LAN Video Conferencing system. This included accessing MS Access data from the application.
  • wrote Windows application to edit Configuration files for LiveManager - management software for a new LAN Video Conferencing system. Used MS Access for storing configuration and program data.

PC Hardware/Software Installation and Setup

Includes installing and setting up PCs and networks for small to medium offices.
